Upgrading to CPanel 11
Once you have prepared your system as shown in my previous post “Preparing for CPanel 11” you can now safely proceed with the actual CPanel upgrade. This is done as any regular CPanel upgrade:
- you can run from the command line upcp:
/scripts/upcp
- or from inside WHM you run https://Server_IP_or_Hostname:2087/scripts2/upcpform
Have something else ready to do in the meantime as this will take a while depending on your internet connection speed and system resources. Once done you should be notified that the update is completed and see the new CPanel 11 interface.
Note: this will upgrade CPanel itself, and not apache/php or mysql; these updates can be done after that separately as shown in my older posts:

Thanks for your great posts…
I upgraded to PHP5/MySQL5/Perl and cPanel 11 in a couple of minutes, and without problems!
Added to my feed reader, keep up the good work!

Any way to “downgrade” cPanel?

Jay: I am not aware of such a feature… You can choose a different release (EDGE/CURRENT/RELEASE/STABLE) but you probably know that already.
