In my opinion the most important addition is the inclusion of Apache2 (finally!). Some peoples might also like the Ruby on Rails support and easy installation of new ruby gems as it was before with php and perl modules.
Is it worth it to upgrade? I would say yes, but we need to prepare for the upgrade first… and this is the reason of this series of articles to help you upgrade smoothly to CPanel v11:

I transitioned my hosting business to maildir and cPanel 11 after reading a lot about performance improvements, but have found the opposite to be true - average system load has doubled to tripled since the conversions, and neither top nor ps show anything in particular consuming CPU. It’s like some ghost activity is chewing resources. So far I’d have to say the transition hasn’t exactly been smooth.
Also: Has anyone been able to find an interface or any documentation on the Apache 2 upgrade option?

Scot,
The maildir conversion should bring you some performance improvement regardless of CPanel version imo. About the CPanel poor performance after the upgrade… I am not sure what to say… I am not seeing any problems on my system, but I will update you if there is anything strange.

One thing I do not like about this upgrade is they will broke your CPanelProxy script for Webmail.
Anyway, you can find the temporary solution regarding this problem in CPanel Forum (search the forum with cpanelproxy keyword).
